Cheniere receives $3.4 billion lender commitments for Sabine Pass liquefaction project

HOUSTON — Cheniere Energy Partners has received executed firm financial commitments in aggregate of approximately $3.4 billion to fund the costs of developing, constructing and placing into service the first two liquefaction trains of the Sabine Pass LNG liquefaction project.

Statoil shuts Snohvit LNG plant after water leak

STAVANGER — Statoil has halted production temporarily at its Snohvit-Hammerfest LNG plant due to a water leak. Statoil said production at the plant–the world's most northern and Europe's first export facility for LNG–was halted after water leaked into the gas dryers, with water ingression causing ice formation in the cooling circuit.

Technip, Hyundai to build Statoil’s Aasta Hansteen spar

PARIS — Technip received a Letter of Intent from Statoil for their Aasta Hansteen (previously named Luva) field development, offshore Norway, in approximately 1,300 m (4,250 ft) of water depth. The project will be led by Technip in a consortium with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
